Children's Activities

The love of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, come now upon you, and every day. I pray you know, friend, the love of Jesus, and let him guide you each step of the way. Holy Spirit, open our lips and help us to sing God's praise. Let our song be alleluia. Alleluia Amen

Today we explore God's Spirit pouring out on the whole of creation

This Sunday's reading is Acts 2. 1-21 either read it yourself from your own Bible or use .

Talk Activity for now:

Sit and chat with someone at home:

Pentecost was a Jewish harvest festival. A prophet is someone whop wrote down messages from God, a long time ago about the promised Messiah. Can you think of any prophets?

Craft Activity:

Decorate a paper plate with green and blue tissue paper to create a collage of the world. You could even add pictures of different people and animals. Now add strips of red, orange and yellow tissue paper to show how God's Spirit reaches out to the whole world.

Extra Activity:

Outside, play with some water in jugs and other containers. Fill them up until they are overflowing. You could also add some flame food colouring to the water. Imagine what it would be like to be filled up and overflowing with the Holy Spirit!

Activity for this week:

Get involved in a local project that is all about looking after God's creation - or perhaps start one yourself e.g. a campaign for your school/church to become plastic free.

Prayer for today:

Holy Spirit, stir us up to see things we haven't seen before, to hear things we haven't heard before, and to feel things we haven't felt before. Amen
